Prize Giving 2021

As ever, St Benedict's students' achievements throughout the academic year are being celebrated at Prize Giving ceremonies.

The Upper 6th Prize Giving – always poignant as it is the final occasion at which the year group gathers together - took place on Monday 21st June.

The Headmaster, Andrew Johnson, summarised the many successes and highlights of the year and paid tribute to the students’ resilience, determination and support for one another throughout the pandemic. “It’s amazing what can be achieved with imagination, ingenuity and willing flexibility”, he said, “and once again, the strength of the St Benedict’s community has shone out.”

The prizes were presented by Dom Dominic Taylor, OSB. In his address, he congratulated the students on their many achievements and successes in this challenging academic year; the personal qualities and strengths forged at this difficult time, he said, supported by the Benedictine ethos, would stand them in good stead for the future.

All other year-groups were presented with their prizes in a series of Prize Giving assemblies.
