We are proud to celebrate our strongest set of GCSE results in recent history since pre-pandemic grading standards have been applied, with our Year 11 pupils achieving record-breaking outcomes in 2025.

Almost half of all grades awarded were 9 or 8, with 70% at grades 9–7. This outstanding achievement highlights the school’s continuing academic success and the exceptional efforts of both our students and staff.

Deputy Head – Academic, Fiona Allen, praised the students, saying:

“These results are testament to the persistence, determination, and commitment shown by our well-deserving students. We also recognise the dedication of our teaching staff, whose expertise and encouragement have been instrumental in guiding students to these achievements. Finally, we extend our gratitude to parents and families, whose support has been invaluable in creating the conditions for our students to thrive. Congratulations to all our Year 11 students on these well-earned accomplishments. We wish them every success as they progress to the next stage of their educational journey.”

Headmaster, Joe Smith added:

“I am immensely proud of our Year 11 students’ achievements this year. These GCSE results are the strongest we have recorded under normal grading, and such outcomes reflect not only the hard work and aspiration of our young people, but also strength in our teaching. It is especially encouraging that so many of our students—including most of our highest achievers—will remain with us for the Sixth Form. We look forward to seeing them continue to flourish in our community.”

Among the top achievers were:

  • Riona E and Krishan D, who achieved Grade 9s in all nine subjects
  • Dyran B, Maximus M, Susannah O’S, and Jack W, who all gained a full set of Grade 9s and 8s
  • Reilly H, who also achieved all Grade 9s and 8s, including an exceptional full marks score of 220/220 in Geography

Speaking about her outstanding results, Riona E said, "I’m thrilled with my GCSE results and excited to take the next step in Sixth form. I'm so grateful for all the support from teachers, family and friends throughout the past two years."

On his outstanding results, Krishan D said, “I’m pleased with my GCSE results. I received great support from all my teachers and learned very early on in my GCSEs that working consistently is the key to getting good results.”

Head of Year 11, Donal McKeown, said:

“All of us who have worked with the young people receiving their GCSE results today send them huge congratulations! We have watched them grow in confidence and in their care for one another in our school community. Today is both a personal and collective celebration, the culmination of effort and enthusiasm, and the gateway to the next exciting step on their journey.”

We congratulate the GCSE Class of 2025 on their exceptional results and look forward to welcoming the majority of pupils, along with new joiners, into the Sixth Form in September.
