Our Mobile Phone Policy

Students may bring a mobile phone to school to support safe travel to and from school. During the school day, phones must be switched off and kept out of sight.

Year 7 & 8

Form 3 (Year 7) & Lower Forth (Year 8) students who bring a phone are expected to use a non-smart (“brick”) phone.

Year 9 to Year 11

Students in Upper Fourth (Year 9), Lower Fifth (Year 10) and Upper Fifth (Year 11) may bring a smartphone, provided the Blackout app is installed and active.

Mobile phones should not be used during the school day for messaging, social media, music or contacting home. If a student needs to get in touch with parents during the day, this should be done through the School Office.
