Children in Year 4 at St Benedict's Junior School enjoyed their first ever residential trip, to PGL Marchant’s Hill.

They left St Benedict’s on Wednesday morning a little apprehensive but VERY excited and returned on Friday afternoon exhausted but with a new-found maturity and having had the time of their lives.  Their personal reflections on the three days say it all.  All the staff on the trip were so proud of their excellent behaviour and how they coped with challenges and being away from home.

Here are some of their reflections…

"It was a great experience to be away from home and spend some time with your friends.  I really enjoyed the Abseiling as it helped me face my fear of climbing down a vertical, steep wall." Mika

"Teamwork makes a dream work!" Aniela

"For me personally I think it boosted my confidence for when I grow up because it gives you independence and that’s what you need to have when you are older." Luca

"It was my favourite experience that I have had in school." Sofia

"It was the best thing I’ve done in my life because I’ve never had a chance to do that adventurous stuff because I live in London and I love climbing and nature." Maxim

"It was the best time of my life without my parents." Manos

"It helped me to learn the importance of teamwork." Elise

"The scarier it felt at the beginning the more fun it was." Sasha
