Our dedicated Futures team provides personalised careers and higher education guidance throughout Sixth Form, helping you recognise your strengths, explore your interests and make informed decisions about your next steps.
Whether you are considering university, a degree apprenticeship, studying overseas or entering the world of work, we will help you explore the possibilities and identify the opportunities that best match your ambitions. Through individual guidance, university events, careers talks and encounters with professionals, you will gain valuable insight into different pathways and the confidence to make decisions about your future.
Our extensive network of Old Priorians, parents, industry professionals and partner organisations provides opportunities to learn directly from people working across a wide range of fields. From exploring different careers to gaining practical experience, preparing CVs and developing interview skills, you will build the knowledge and transferable skills needed to navigate an evolving world of work.
Our approach is personal and ongoing. With an open-door policy for students and parents, the Futures team offers one-to-one guidance and group coaching throughout the university and careers application process. Students receive tailored support with university choices, personal statements, competitive applications and interviews, with regular appointments to help them make informed decisions at every stage.
We recognise that every student’s aspirations and circumstances are different. Working closely with personal tutors and other members of staff, including our Teaching and Learning Support Centre, we aim to ensure that each individual receives the guidance and encouragement they need to move forward with confidence.
