Two of our Sixth Form students, Harry H (L6) and Thomas K (U6), have earned national recognition after being featured in the 2026 edition of the prestigious Wisden Cricketers’ Almanack for their outstanding performances in UK schoolboy cricket.
Harry was named the leading wicket-taker in the country during the 2025 school season, while Thomas secured second place wicket-taker and was also ranked as the fifth top run scorer nationwide. Their achievements place them among the very best young cricketers in the UK.
Widely regarded as the “Bible of Cricket,” Wisden has documented the sport’s finest players and performances since 1864. To be recognised in its schoolboy section is one of the highest honours in youth cricket, celebrating not only exceptional statistics but also consistency, match-winning impact, and elite-level skill.

Head of Cricket, Juan Henri, praised both players,
“Harry, who was in Year 11 last year, enjoyed a truly phenomenal season with the ball, establishing himself as one of the standout performers in schoolboy cricket. Finishing as the highest wicket-taker in school cricket in 2025 is a remarkable achievement and a testament to his dedication.
Alongside him, First XI captain Thomas K produced another outstanding all-round campaign. The pair formed a formidable opening bowling partnership, and Thomas was equally impressive with the bat, scoring two magnificent centuries at a blistering strike rate. Both players have shown exceptional commitment, and there is great excitement for what lies ahead.”
Reflecting on his achievement, Harry said, “Making it into the Wisden 2026 Cricketer’s Almanack is both a great honour and something I will cherish for many years. It’s a credit to the coaching I’ve received and the support from my teammates.”
Captain Thomas added, “I’m very proud to have been recognised in Wisden, especially as it’s a book I’ve followed for nearly 10 years. It’s a special achievement and one I’m incredibly grateful for.”
First XI coach, Huw Jones, also commended the pair: “Harry’s accuracy and control made him incredibly difficult to face, while Tom excelled as a true all-rounder, contributing match-winning performances with both bat and ball. Their impact on the team has been outstanding.”
With Thomas finishing his final year and Harry continuing to develop his already impressive game, both players are well-placed to build on their success for the future.
