Mike Davis, Chair of Governors 

Mike Davis is an Old Priorian whose 50-year career has included being a partner in one of the 'big four' accountancy practices and a Non-Executive Chairman/Director. For most of that time his involvement has been with entrepreneurial companies and corporate finance. Prior to becoming a Governor at St Benedict’s, Mike also served for over 30 years on the governing boards of two other significant independent schools, both as Deputy Chair. 

Alex Avella, deputy chair of governors 

Alex Avella is an Old Priorian who was a pupil at St Benedict’s for 14 years. He has spent 25 years working in the financial markets and is a portfolio manager for a fund management firm that handles the money of a global charitable foundation. Alex has been on the Board since 2022 and as well as being Deputy Chair, he also sits on the Future Strategy Committee. 

Anne Blixen-finecke, chair of finance committee 

Anne Blixen-Finecke is a qualified accountant who is currently the CFO of the British furniture brand, Loaf. She has previously held senior finance roles at Debenhams, M&S and Tesco. She also spent the first 8 years of her career as an auditor at Deloitte in their London and Los Angeles offices. Anne joined the Board in November 2023 and took over as Chair of the Finance Committee in June 2024.  She also sits on the Future Strategy Committee.

Mary Boyle studied Science and Biotechnology at the University of Galway. Following a stint in teaching in Ireland, Mary moved to London in the early 90s. Since then she has worked in clinical research in the pharmaceutical industry, working for several global pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies including GSK, Novartis, and Amgen. A past parent of the School, Mary joined the Board in 2017 and has been Chair of the Education Committee since November 2018. 

Dr Amit Chatterjee, Chair of Safeguarding Committee 

Amit Chatterjee is Chief Medical Officer of a large national complex-care healthcare organisation, sitting on the Executive Board. His interests lie in safety, quality improvement and corporate governance. Before his current role, he trained as a medical doctor, specialising in the field of Forensic Psychiatry. Amit took over the role of Chair of the Safeguarding Committee in June 2024. 

Melissa Davies-Wright, Chair of Future Strategy Committee
 

Melissa Davies-Wright has an MBA from Manchester Business School and is a Transformation Director in industry, with a background in management consulting with EY and Kearney. She has worked extensively with retail and data / technology companies and specialises in business planning, portfolio, and programme management of large-scale corporate transformations across the growth, digital and efficiency areas. Melissa has been on the Board since 2021 and in addition to chairing the Future Strategy Committee, also sits on the Finance Committee. 

Martin Elliott, Chair of Health and Safety Committee 

Martin Elliott is a retired commercial property lawyer who graduated from Oxford University with a BA in Law, following his earlier education at St Benedict’s. He spent most of his career at a City Law firm, where he specialised in major regeneration projects across retail, leisure, and office sectors, including work on the Olympic legacy business district. Martin has six children, three of whom attended St Benedict’s. He joined the Board in June 2025 and now chairs the Health and Safety Committee, as well as serving on the Finance Committee.

Alex Pereira-Inacio  

Having left St Benedict’s in 2000 and graduating from the University of York in 2003, Alex Pereira-Inacio started work in the city and is now CEO of a commodity brokerage. Alex has stayed in touch with St Benedict’s, helping the Careers and Development offices, and was a committee member of the OPA.  He was on the committee of the Old Priorians Rugby Club (OPRFC) for 17 years and recently stood down as Chairman having held the role from July 2020 to August 2025. Alex joined the governing board in 2022.  He is member of the Health and Safety Committee.

Paul Keyte 

Paul Keyte graduated with First Class honours in Philosophy and Theology at Oriel College, Oxford. After a series of SLT posts at Dulwich College, KCS Wimbledon and Winchester College, he became Deputy Head at Highgate and then South Hampstead High School. Paul was Headmaster of St Anthony’s School in Hampstead for 10 years. He is now CEO of an Educational Consultancy which advises schools and other educational institutions.  Paul sits on both the Education Committee and the Future Strategy Committee. 

Dom Ambrose McCambridge  

Father Ambrose has been a monk of Ealing Abbey since 2010 and the Parish Priest since 2017. Before joining the Monastery, he qualified as a teacher in Ireland and has worked with adults with severe learning difficulties. He also completed studies in the Psychology of Religion.  Father Ambrose sits on the Future Strategy Committee and the Education Committee.  He is the Catholic link governor.

 

Rosalind Nockles, Chair of St Bernard’s Advisory Committee 

Rosalind Nockles joined the board in 2021. She taught English for most of her career at St Bernard’s Catholic Grammar School, becoming Head of English and Assistant Head.  She also taught at St Mary's Ascot and St George's Weybridge.  She was a member of an exam board Advisory Panel for English Literature A-level and coached pupils in Public Speaking winning the National English-Speaking-Union's Public Speaking competition. She also prepared pupils for the Bar Mock Trial National Final at the Old Bailey.  Ros is Chair of her Parish Council in Datchet Berkshire and is Chair of the St Bernard's Advisory Committee. 


Anna Savage  

Anna Savage (FCIPD) currently serves as Chief Human Resources Officer at Form3, a fast-growing FinTech business. She has extensive experience in employee relations, shaping people strategy and leading business change, gained through numerous roles including senior roles at Pollinate International and Marks & Spencer. She is a Fellow of the CIPD and a former Chair of the British Retail Consortium’s Employment Policy Group. Anna is a former parent of the school and joined the Board in June 2025, she sits on the Safeguarding Committee and the Education Committee.


Abbot Dominic Taylor  

Abbot Dominic Taylor has been a Governor of St Benedict’s School since 2012, a monk of Ealing Abbey since 2003 and its Abbot since 2019. Fr Abbot studied Theology and Religious Studies at the Universities of Kent and of Oxford. His interests include literature, history and the study of the Eastern Catholic Churches.  He sits on the Finance Committee.

 

Fiona Yates  

Having graduated with a degree in Mathematics from Oxford, Fiona went on to qualify as a Chartered Accountant with one of the “big 4” accountancy firms. She then worked for a number of years as an accountant in industry including for Dixons and Glaxo Wellcome specialising in financial policy, audit and Mergers & Acquisitions. Since 2020 Fiona has been Bursar for the Oratory Schools Association.  She joined the Board in June 2024 and is a member of the Finance Committee.
