Our Mobile Phone Policy

Students may bring a mobile phone to school to support safe travel to and from school. During the school day, phones must be switched off and kept out of sight.

Year 7

Form 3 (Year 7) students who bring a phone are expected to use a non-smart (“brick”) phone.

Year 8 to Year 10

Students in Lower Fourth (Year 8) Upper Fourth (Year 9) and Lower Fifth (Year 10) may bring a smartphone, provided the Blackout app is installed and active.

Mobile phones should not be used during the school day for messaging, social media, music or contacting home. If a student needs to get in touch with parents during the day, this should be done through the School Office.
