Music Scholarship Application for 11+ and Sixth Form entry September 2025

Music Scholarships are open to both internal and external applicants.

External pupils who wish to be considered for a Music Scholarship must submit this form by Thursday 31 October 2024 at 12pm. Scholarship applications will only be considered if the applicant has also registered for a place at the school. If you have not already registered, registration forms may be completed via the following link:

Internal pupils who wish to be considered for a Music Scholarship must submit this form by Thursday 31 October 2024 at 12pm. Nothing further is required.

The Music Scholarship auditions will be held on Friday 15 November 2024.

As a guide in deciding whether or not to apply, it is likely that successful applicants will have achieved a Grade 5 at 11+ or Grade 8 at Sixth Form or be at the equivalent standard in their main instrument.

Please indicate below which two instruments your child is currently learning and their grade. Applicants will be asked to perform two contrasting pieces of music on their main instrument; additional instruments or singing is welcome.

Applicants will also be asked to complete an aural test, sight reading test and have a short interview with the Director of Music.

Process:
Following receipt of this application form, the Music Department will contact applicants to confirm audition details or alternatively to advise that they have not been selected for audition.

The award of a Music Scholarship will be confirmed with offer letters for a place at the School. These are issued on Friday 7 February 2025, a date set by the North London Consortium of which St Benedict's is a part.
