Admission - Sixth Form

16+ Entry

External students who wish to be considered for entry to the Sixth Form are invited to visit the School with their parents and meet with the Headmaster. They are encouraged to attend an Options Evening on Wednesday, 11 October at which Heads of Departments explain details of the courses on offer.

Once registered, students are invited for a formal interview with the Headmaster, to which they are asked to bring their most recent school report and, if appropriate, their predicted grades. Conditional offers are made on the basis of interview.

Applicants must achieve a minimum of grade 6 in at least five subjects at GCSE. The only exceptions to this are that to study Mathematics or Physics they must achieve at least a grade 7 in Mathematics. In the case of subjects which are new at A level, they should achieve at least a B grade or the numerical equivalent in a related subject. The conditional offer will be confirmed on receipt of the results in August 2018.

On receipt of a conditional offer, an acceptance deposit equivalent to half the current term's fees is required by the School. If, subsequently, the conditions are not met by the student, the Acceptance Deposit will be fully refunded.

As part of the process of entry all students meet with the Head of Careers to finalise their A level options choices.
