We are seeking a highly organised, proactive and detail-focused Projects Assistant to support the Senior Deputy Head with a wide range of projects that extend beyond the school community – including partnerships, stakeholder engagement, and business development.

This is a newly created and dynamic role offering variety, responsibility, and the chance to make a tangible impact. The successful candidate will play a key part in research, coordination, and communication efforts, while ensuring smooth administrative and operational support for strategic projects.

Closing date for applications is 12.00 noon, Thursday 18 September

Interviews will take place on Tuesday 23 September and Thursday 25 September

Early applications are encouraged.  Suitable candidates may be interviewed before the closing date and we reserve the right to withdraw the position if an early appointment is made.

To apply please complete an application form (available to download from the School’s website www.stbenedicts.org.uk) and return to recruitment@stbenedicts.org.uk. Further details can be obtained from the HR department: 020 8 862 2185 or email recruitment@stbenedicts.org.uk.

The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Applicants will be required to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

The safeguarding responsibilities of the post include:

  • child protection, discipline, health and safety
  • promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons for whom you are responsible and with whom you come into contact.

The post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the School is therefore permitted to ask job applicants to declare all convictions and cautions (including those which are "spent" unless they are "protected" under the DBS filtering rules) in order to assess their suitability to work with children.
