St Benedict's welcomes a new Head Boy and Head Girl for this year.

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Ned as Head Boy and Tessa as Head Girl at St Benedict's for this new academic year 2023 /2024, along with their Deputies, Charlie and Ayodenu.

Here, Ned and Tessa share a bit more about themselves as they begin the journey into their new leadership roles.

Ned, who has been a pupil of St Benedict's since Nursery, says of his recent appointment, "St Benedict’s has been a part of my life since age 3. Over a decade of constant support and encouragement from my teachers has led me to study Maths, Further Maths, Physics, and Music. Post A-Levels I aim to study Mechanical Engineering at university. I play the cello and piano and am Captain of the cricket team. I’m incredibly grateful to the outgoing Headmaster for giving me the opportunity to be Head Boy, and am keen to work with our new Headmaster, Mr Smith, over the coming academic year."

Tessa joined St Benedict's in Year 7 and has been an active member of the St Benedict's community; "Throughout the past seven years, St. Benedict's has provided me with a diverse array of opportunities and unwavering support in my academic pursuits. I have relished my active participation in every facet of the broader school life. I am currently studying Philosophy & Ethics, Spanish and Psychology for A-Levels and plan to study a joint course of Philosophy and Spanish at University, with the intention of doing a Law transfer after, to become a solicitor.  I am widely engaged in the school community as Co-President of the Senior Debating Society as well as being President of the SVP and Chaplaincy. I also mentor younger students and volunteer at the Ealing Soup Kitchen. I very much look forward to working with Mr Smith, and hope to give back to St Benedict’s when fulfilling my role as Head Girl this year!"
