Everyone in Form 3 (Year 7) enjoyed a fantastic Induction Day of teamwork and challenges on Friday 23rd September, at High Ashurst Outdoor Education Centre, Surrey.

St Benedict's Year 7 Induction Day

I found the activities really fun and I made some new friends. I gained lots of new skills such as teamwork." Hugh

The Form 3 Induction Day was challenging, especially the climbing area. It was scary at first but now that I've done it I would love to do it again." Ina

The Induction Day was very fun, especially the activity when we had harnesses and climbed, jumped and balanced on and off the high, wooden structures. However, it was also the most challenging." Christopher

I absolutely loved it, the activities were challenging but never failed to make me laugh, especially the crate stacking! My friends and I had an amazing time and one of the best bits was when Mr McCarthy did the big jump! We also went through the wine cellar of the mansion ruins, it was fascinating! Overall I really enjoyed the trip and I loved every bit of it!" Suri

Overall my Induction trip was thrilling, enjoyable and intriguing especially the leap of faith (walking along a large log high up and jumping off in a fun way). However, it was slightly frightening because of the high heights; I persevered with the help of my friends, teachers and the supervisors there. I gained and expanded my knowledge on maps, directions, making new friends as well as my teamwork." Clea

It was very fun as we climbed higher and higher on milk crates. We had some team building exercises which I think brought us together as a class."  Anna

I had a great time doing all the activities, having a fun time with our friends. We laughed a lot! The activity that challenged me most was climbing up and jumping to catch the trapeze because, when you're climbing, you don't look down, so when you do look down at the top your legs feel like jelly. I gained an understanding from this day that if there is a challenge that seems tough just do it as you'll feel better afterwards rather than regret not giving it a go. It was a great day and I really enjoyed it." Tom
