PSHE Education & Citizenship (Senior - Academic Curriculum)

3rd Form (Year 7) will follow a Programme for Emotional Intelligence, concentrating on learning how to interact successfully with those around them and on finding strategies to identify the ways in which they behave and learn to change attitudes where necessary. This is delivered in their timetabled PSHEE & Citizenship period each week

The whole school follows the model of half-termly sessions, giving a total of around 40 PSHEE & Citizenship events or workshops throughout the year across the various divisions. Study Skills remain part of the Programme and days are set aside for each division to build upon the techniques acquired during the previous year. A new initiative this year is a joint venture between PSHEE & Citizenship as part of the Upper School and Sixth Form Enrichment programme. The Upper 5th, Lower 6th and Upper 6th (Years 11 - 13) will be addressed by a series of high profile speakers. The PSHE E & Citizenship Programme looks to constantly evolve to reflect our changing world and society, whilst adhering to the National Programmes of Study of Personal Well-being and Economic Well-being and Financial Capability. The Whole School Programme seeks to promote the teachings of the RC Church and ensure that all issues relating to the safeguarding of the boys and girls in our care are well delivered and well managed.
