Trips and Expeditions (Senior)

Numerous excursions are organised to places of interest in London and around the country. Regular trips abroad include the annual Middle School holiday in Molveno in the Italian Dolomites, including an eagerly anticipated football match against the local team, the exchange schemes with the Gymnasium der Benediktaner in Meschede, Germany and the Escolonia de Montserrat choir school from Catalonia, Spain and ski trips to Europe. Students from the school have gone on a World Challenge expedition to Venezuela, have scuba dived in the Red Sea, climbed Mount Meru in Tanzania, the third highest peak in Africa, marvelled at the sight of the Grand Canyon and sampled the delights of Las Vegas. The History Department has run trips to the Somme Battlefields and Bayeux and recent trips also include a Geography trip to Iceland and Modern Languages trips to Paris and Andalucia. These activities play an important role in the education of the whole person ? horizons are broadened, leadership skills developed and new friendships formed.
