Music Co-curricular (Senior)

In the Music Department we like to encourage all pupils to learn an instrument and to take part in one of the many extra curricular ensembles on offer. These include:

Middle School Brass Ensemble
String Ensemble

Flute Ensemble
Theory Clubs

There are approx 2 concerts each term with the Music Festival taking place in the Lent term, the most recent adjudicator being Julian Lloyd Webber. There is also a music tour every other year and regular external performances including appearances at the Millenium Centre, Cardiff, the Pitshanger ‘Light up the Lane’ and Pitshanger ‘Party in the Park’. The Big Band also perform externally at private functions.

We have also embarked on an outreach programme, taking pupils from St Benedict’s Senior School to perform and lead workshops at other schools. Recent schools have included St Gregory’s Primary School, Ealing and the Queen Elizabeth II Special Needs School in Westbourne Park. The Music Department is well known within the Parish and local community.
