The Nursery Department

It is so important that children are provided with a happy environment within which they are given the confidence to flourish. The Nursery Department was established in 2002 with the intention of providing a friendly and fun environment in which children aged 3+ could begin their educational life and prepare for the transition to more formal education at 4+. Our children are encouraged to develop their individuality, whilst at the same time they learn to establish stable relationships with their teachers and their peers. Experienced Nursery staff guide the children's learning experiences, making sure that the boys and girls learn through play and enjoy the challenges of the early years. The children are gradually introduced to the underlying ethos of St Benedict's School, whereby they gain, amongst other things, an appreciation of the importance of listening, being caring towards others and nurturing talent. |
