Geography (Junior - Academic Curriculum)

Geography is taught throughout the years from Pre-Preps to Juniors (Reception to Year 6). We focus on developing knowledge, skills and understanding of places, processes and environmental change and development. This is taught through a wide range of topics which include 'Investigating our Local Area', 'Earthquakes and Volcanoes' and 'Life in India', just to name a few! In Form One (Year 5) we study our local high street, and suggest ways of improving it for all types of people. An exciting day is spent in Form Two (Year 6), visiting the Thames Barrier, to enrich our learning about rivers. This includes a workshop at the Learning Centre, and a river walk along the Thames.
